Dave Perkes:On Tonle Sap Lake
An ex-digital cartographer from Southampton England - Dave also worked in Procurement and contract management before forsaking a desk job in the Civil Service agency for a new life in the far East. In his spare time has led groups of hill walkers around the UK and has had plenty of experience in travel in Europe and the East. Dave wanted to come to the Angkor temples for many years. With 30 years photographic experience and 11 years spent perfecting digital photography techniques. Dave is happy to advise guests on digital and conventional photography. There is no western photographer in Cambodia today, who has as much experience of photographing the Angkor Temples, Tonle Sap Lake and remote temple sites as Dave. Elliot hails from Jackson, Wyoming. He has had a diverse career including: sales and marketing, freelance photography and ran a few restaurants for a while. He first came to Cambodia in 2007 on holiday and was captivated by the Khmer people.
Elliot has a good way with people and loves the contact with villagers. His love of Cambodia shows when he is in the villages with his rapport with the locals. Elliot has a creative eye and will give anyone who has the pleasure of his company new ideas, angles, and contacts with people that make for an experience that goes beyond the usual temple photography. Ta is a true professional and excellent English speaker and has been a key player in setting up and running our photo tour programme. Ta and Dave run many of the remote temple tours; with Ta being a specialist in this field. Ta is a good photographer uses a Nikon DSLR. He has a good eye for detail and understands how important lighting is to a photo. Ta has a keen interest in wild life and ecology. he is the perfect person to take our groups to the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary. Ta has a great rapport with people. He Has been known to organize teams of ox carts for our cameras and is a brilliant fixer for Amateur and Pro Photographers. Ta has been involved in the setting up tours and volunteer projects for educational groups for several years and is very conscious of making sure these projects are sustainable and give benefit to schoolchildren in rural areas. Den Is our office Manager. He has been with us since September 2005. He was married to Srei Rin in January 2012.
Den has developed himself and his English skills when he worked in reception at our villa. He is usually the first person you'll hear from when making a booking or inquiry. All our guests enjoy Dens cheeky and fun personality. He calls himself Monkey Man and is the life and soul of any party. Maun Kean

Kean by name and Keen by nature; he is an enthusiastic photo guide who has been working for us since around 2008. He used to work for a well known UK Tour Company but he much prefers our style. Kean is brilliant at finding new locations and has the good habit of searching out the smaller things which many people would otherwise miss.
Kean was brought up in a village on the doorsteps of Angkor Wat; he had this great temple complex as a playground as a kid; so he is well versed in finding the secret corners as he used to play hide and seek there . Sorn is one of our most experienced and longest serving of all our Peace Of Angkor Guides. He has been working for us since 2004 and has run many of our remote Cambodia tours. Coming from a Family who live on the Tonle Sap lake Sorn is perfect to lead tours here He has a good eye for detail, can telly a lot about of the temples and Khmer Culture. He has intimate knowledge if the Tonle Sap Lake as he comes from the area. He is a very good companion for all who have the good fortune to have him on tour. He is our remote temple specialist who's knowledge of rural Cambodia is second to none.
Noiy has been a tour guide at Angkor for more then a decade. Married with one child, Noiy has a stable unflappable personality so can cope with any situation on these remote adventures. He has traveled widely in Northern Cambodia and has Leads many of our 4WD Tours to Banteay Chhmar, Koh Ker, Preah Vihear, Preah Khan Kompong Svay, Kratie and Mekong and Rattankiri. Savvy our Cook and housekeeper was part of the original Peace of Angkor Villa Crew in 2003. She can cook a range of Khmer Asian and Western dishes including pasta. kebabs, tacos and more. Her French fries and fruit pancakes are the best! She looks after our apartments and office and does reception duties from time to time Savvy is a lively happy girl who is very eager to please. Warren has an insatiable appetite for travel and has toured many countries worldwide, including North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
A Londoner by birth, he has a long business background in both construction engineering and also sales and marketing. Warren has lived and worked in Britain, USA, Europe and now Cambodia. He initially arrived into Siem Reap in 2008 to work for three months as a volunteer for the Trailblazer Foundation constructing water wells and bio-sand water filters. Warren is still volunteering some of his time and expertise to Trailblazer. Wozzer made Cambodia his home during 2009. He joined us in January 2010 and is now specializing in tour development in Vietnam.. |
